Hi All
So I am a bit delayed in writing all my blogs which means I must be having a good time eh! as I dont have time to write them. Ok so I am writing this from just over 2 weeks on from my visit to Cebu. It was the best weekend I had in the Philippines thanks for a couple of friends and the hospitality at the Shangri-La in Mactan Cebu.
After the weekend at Boracay I was hoping for some nicer weather though the rain in Manila was so bad on the friday we thought our flight was going to be cancelled, it was on the news about the floods in Manila so it cant have been good. Anyway, despite the rain we did manage to take off on our way to Cebu, on a pretty huge plane I might add!. The flight was fairly uneventful although I did appreciate the complimentary peanuts and cookies, yummy. So we arrived in Cebu to have a pick up to take us to the flat of the person we were staying with. It was a fantastic apartment, right on the end of Mactan and with sea all around it, and 4 swimming pools!
We put on our glad rags ready for a night on the town, and boy did we get a night, The friend we were with is very well known in the clubs in Cebu and we literally had our own bouncers! In the second club, the staff arranged a table for us right in the middle of all the action, I mean they literally carried it over the crowds, it was fantastic.
Anyways we were not up for much the next day after the late night, but we managed to get up early and then went to my friend (Moi's) family's house and had some lovely Philippino breakfast.
Then headed for day 1 on the beach in the Shangri-La, and the sun was shining, so happy to see this after the 2 weeks of rain we had in Manila previously. So not much to say apart from how much I enjoyed the cocktails and food, and also we saw some tropical fish that swim close to the shore. The beach is a man made one but it is very nice and I had such a relaxing time.
Saturday evening was not as eventful as the evening prior, more of a quiet drink, though we did have excellent service as always!
Sunday was much the same so I won't carry on about the icecream and sun and sea and sand as you will only get jealous, though I will say that Parasailing was awesome! It was so scary but I have always wanted to do it, and to stop the nerves I was singing " the sun will come out tomorrow". I am soo cool,NOT. hee hee.
Anyway, I recommend Shangri-la on Cebu, it is perfect for a relaxing retreat and I hopefully will be going back there sometime soon!
I will again be blogging soon as I need to tell you about Thailand and the arrival of ste!
Anyways speak soon, over and out :0 xxxx
