Well well!

Since my last blog entry we have not really done alot! We stayed in Chiang Mai for 8 or 9 nights. The main reason for this was because we wanted to hang around for Carl and Sam's leaving night out (see pics) and then we could go straight from Pai to Chiang Kong and the border but know we have found out that its not poss and were heading back to Chiang Mai 2moz to get the bus!

Within that time we hired mopeds out and scanned the surrounding area. Carl told us about a lake nearby so a group of us visited. It was gorgeous, just at the foot of huge surrounding mountains we chilled on a floating hut, was served lush food which kept flowing throughout the day! Had a swim in the lake whilst it was pouring down, anyone who has done this will know it s***s you up not being able to see 2 feet in front of ya in the middle of a huge lake!!! We also completed a couple of laps on 150cc quad bikes, which was great fun until Carl decided he would flip his quad, well funny and he wasnt hurt so it was cool!

It was a nice week knowing that weve not got to travel anywhere for a little while, and i also found a gym to use so that was a bonus!!! So now were in a small town 2hrs north of Chiang Mai called Pai. Weve heard lot of good reports about this place so was really looking forward to it!! However, it does not live up to expectations! It is a pretty place surrounded by mountains, however unless your with ya bird its not that brilliant!! Theres only a few quality bars (Ting Tong, Beep Bop and Shisha), which are rarely busy!!! Its a cool place to hang back and take in the scenery. Especially with a girl as there is some nice little restuarants around! But for single blokes looking, its not the place to be. Hired some mopeds so went for a road trip today into the mountains which was cool. However, soon into our journey it started to piss it down! Not like English rain, but bloody monsoon rain! Funny at the time as most people have got the common sense to buy a poncho as it is rainy season! But not us, we got soaked!! Silly Ferang! So theres not really any pics to look at of Pai, which prob explains it all!

So 2moz were back in Chaing Mai, staying for 1 night and heading straight for the border into Loas! For the 2 day slow boat ride down the Mekong River (the one you watched on tv Mum and Mark). Once again only a few of the pics have been uploaded for the last night in Chiang Mia! Why are computers such s***s to use!!!!!! Will try to upload them all 2moz in the city. Hope everyones ok and well back home????!!!!! Will update in around 4 or 5 days once were in Loas! Laterz Chick
