Hey everyone!!
Unfortunately, as Camobia was a few weeks ago this particuliar blog entry is going to be a little rubbish!!
We travelled form Siagon to Siem Reap (Cambodia's capital i think) by bus! A very pleasant ride with breakfast thrown in!!! Bonus! All in all it took aroun 12 or 13 hours to arrive. Now, anyone who has travelled to Cambia will know, when you arrive its a right ball ache to say the least! We arrived at the bus station around 1pm, peak market time and is when the city is busiest! As soon as the doors opened we could hear them! Me and Stu were the only Westerners on the bus and so were the sole targets! These blokes literally started to pinch me and and get right in my face shouting " u wanna a taxi? u wanna hotel?? i take u there, i take u there!!!!" These people are bloody idiots!! Its like some sort of frenzy when they see Westerners, its quite funny and eventually we both got away and hide in a bank till the coast was clear!
Cambodia was just going to be a short stay as the Full Moon was calling and we wanted to get there early for a room! First of all i visited the Grand Palace which was really pretty, however there are no pictures as i thought Stu had the camera and he thought i had the camera! Oh well! We stayed in a hostel near to the lake! Its really weird as this place does not seem to have any laws, especially when drugs are concerned! But its a cool place where most travellers stop at when coming through Cambodia!
The next port of call was to see the Killing Feilds! This is where Mr Pott did most of his killings! It was really weird, as there wer about 5 or 6 mass burials with hundreds of people in each (see pics), and these burials were no longer than around 8 meters! What i thought was funny tho was when we got back into the Tuk Tuk, and the driver instantly wanted to know if we would have like to go to the firing rabge to shoot some cows with Bazookas! We could'nt afford it tho! Next stop was to head north to see the infamous Angor Watt! This place is beautiful! We made the effort to get up at 5am to see the sun rise over the main and largest ankor watt! It is massive and most of the day was spent looking around the many different Watts situated around the park! As you casn see by the pics they are pretty impressive!
Gonna write about the amazing Full Moon Party in my next blog when i get down to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! Mum, i did take pictures of my leg but just forgot to put them up, i will get onto that straight away! In Koh Toa now, and just relaxing and waiting for my Full Moon War wound to heal! Leave for Oz on the 20th Aug, and i cant bloody wait!! Ive had enough of rice, and need some steak and Victoria Bitter! Hope your all well and enjoying the English summer, heard its picked up a little !?? Anywayz, take it easy ands i will write in about a week!!! Laterz
