Hi again!
Im in Rome and there is so much old stuff here. Thousands of years old. And its everywhere you look. I moved from Milan to Brescia, then to Venice before I arrived here. In Brescia, I stayed with an Italian family that Jackson and Dorothy from church know and that was a nice change from hostels and hotels. They showed me around Brescia and Iseo Lake and the next day we did a trip to Verona. Venice was very pretty, although extermely hot. Lots of alleyways and canals and bridges. I went round and round in circles wandering around Piazza San Marco. The only way to navigate was to follow signs to Piazza San Marco and to the bus and train stations.
I bought some Murano glass earrings and a Carnevale mask, although its fairly inextravagant. I almost missed my train to Rome too, but luckily Italian trains are fairly unreliable so I made it with plenty of time. There is so much to see in Rome! Ive only been here for one day so will hopefully give a better rundown of Rome in a few days.
Ciao!
Cheryl
