We arrived in Arlie Beach midnight of the 22nd, we had booked a triple room at Magnums hostel expecting something quite luxurious.... what we got was a double bed with a bungbed over the top which smelt of feet and BO!!! Finding it quite funny we opted for just one night in the hostel!

The next day was packed with fun fun fun. We booked onto Ocean rafting, our boat called 'wild thing'. (check out photos and video) which was just amazing, zipping round the Whitsunday at speed. Hanging off the side of the boat holding on for dear life! Of course smiles glued across our faces! we stopped off at an Aberiginal cave which was interesting- even if we were sceptical of its authenticity! We were quick to jump off the boat for spot of snorkelling. We had a bit of a chat and a sing with the fish to the bemusement of some of the other snorkellors!

We had packed a picnic which we ate on the most breathtaking beach on Whitehaven, difficult to describe, the sand was golden and felt like flour- even squeeking when you walked on it.

Then unfortunately it was back on the boat for a fun trip home. Including a race with two of the other boats- doughnutting around the sea, and screaming in a very girlie fashion

Spent the evening over a glass of wine or two Joe even demonstrating his culinary skills over dinner! very impressive. Matt (a friend from home arrived around midnight)

Thursday was spent playing in the lagoon, developing an extensive game of frisby!!!

We have just booked a couple of days camping in Fraser Island so all very exciting still! Both of us still trying to work up a tan with little success!!!
