Hope you enjoy Fiji - be sure to get correct sunscreen factors!! Wish I was there - running across those divine sands and diving into the beautiful S. Pacific is a considerably more appealing thought than catching the stuffy tube home on a damp London evening. England playing Samoa today, looking forward to letter and have a brilliant last week xxxxxxx

Merries, merries and more merries!
Sorry have not been in contact for a few days, am madly trying to sort out my return to Uni this Sunday, which is fast becoming a nightmare. Poor little Chamfy is having to stay behind in Bucks as there is a virus at the yard where he is staying and the whole place is in quaratine. The earliest he will be free to move is October 1st, so unitl then he will have to fend for himself. Needless to say I am stressing...
On a brighter note, however, Arsenal are top of the league after a 'comfortable' victory at White Hart Lane on Saturday. First time in three years we have been top of the table, so let's hope it stays that way. As you can imagine, Pa Edis is even more vocal than usual, with constant bursts of Pavarotti's "Nessun Dorma" eminating from the sitting room. Subsequently, Mother and I have upped his medication...
Am extremely impressed that you are all still alive after your sky diving escapade, as it was my understanding that most of these things end in death? Very pleased that I am wrong on this occasion.
Nothing much else to report other than I am pregnant, have taken up pole dancing and now weigh 23 stone after a summer spend eating custard pies.
Well, over and out for now.
Much love. x
P.S. If 2 + 2 doesn't = 4, then this message may never reach you, apparently. x

That's a text I'll NEVER be able to delete! Probably unlikely I'll ever jump out of an airoplane. Guess you're all in South Island now, bunjijumped? Had dinner with Jack n Betsey, wed, over from US. Their grand niece Melissa and fiancee were there - you camped out with her and other kids when we stayed at Jim n Sarah's wooden shack overlooking the harbour, Charlie - wonder if you remember. They're going to stop U. Andrew's heart, then start it again, J's off to Os as Aidan (her nephew) has just had a brain op, I've sneezed a lot this week, and the Boks are going to thrash England this evening - no more exciting news, I don't think. Enjoy the weekend. Lots of love....xxxxxx

I felt a bit breathless after reading your blog, had to have a little lie-down. Kayaking, wwrafting, whizzycars, doing the haka, then sky diving...phew. EggyRotorua sounds nice and hope your new travelling companions don't have any little irritating habits. Been without my mobile for a few days, Charlie, so sorry if you called and missed me. World cup started with great excitement - France beaten by the Argies, England unimpressive against the Yanks, Southern Hemisphere dudes all looking pretty snooky, damn them. Englandv S Africa Friday - should be a great match. Maddy's parents now considered official suspects by Portuguese police, Pavarotti and Anita Rodd*** died, Federer won the US Open, Henman's retired, and Britney's back but a bit fat. Meeting Jack and Betsey over from the US at Joe Allen tomorrow (I'll say 'hi' from you), Uncle Mart and J send their love, and the weather's gorgeous. Enjoy Mount Doom and Wellington tomorrow, and South Island Thurs - I'll be thinking of you all as always. Love xxxxx

New zealand sounds amazing! I couldn't be more jealous! Well done on the skydive, you two have balls, I like balls....
When's the bungee birkett? or is that too tame after throwing yourself out of a plane?
have some more fun!

You (C) probably don't remember visiting Woodcote Park (RAC) but we had a great few days, using the beautiful sports facilities (Bat 'n Ball record now 32) and racing at Sandown. I madly read all the tipsters while Dave goes from bookie to bookie with fistfulls of money in his huge fists winning a fortune and J sits in the paddock watching the thoroughbreds parading, chooses the one she thinks is the fittest and most beautiful-looking, then places her bet. She won 4 races this way! I won nothink. Inky stinky. So sorry, I said I'd stick something on a nag's nose for you. Love hearing about your travels and adventures but your swimming scare makes me worried. Just as well you learnt to be a strong swimmer - it started when you were tiny with your arm bands on splashing about in that Alpine pool when you suddenly realised you were swimming. You then turned round and immediately joined in a race with some other children. What a scream. Lovely to get your texts and to talk today. Sounds as tho there was some seriously good jazz. Afterwards I googled up the tune and before you could say 'in the mood' the whole office was boogying to Glenn Miller. Had a bacon sarnie from a taxi drivers hut in Hanover Square at lunchtime - biggest doorstep you've evr seen - couldn't open my mouth wide enough (actually, nearly got lockjaw) Love xxxxxxxx
Charlies Mum
Fab photos of Sydney - knew you'd just love it. It really is like Home and Away isn't it!! Great to chat the other day, you sound and look so well and happy, we can see what an amazing time you are having. Had a great time sailing 'Zippy' round Turkey, got some really good photos too! Auntie Rhona was THRILLED by your letter and pics - what a good girlie you are!! Enjoy NZ............how will you ever be able to come home?!xxxxxxxxxxxx

YO YO YO!
Have just been looking at all your pictures of Sydney - bloody smashing it looks too! Can't say that I'm too happy about you eating Squidge, I'm sure he'd have been much happier off in the sea, but then again if anybody was going to eat him, then I'm glad that it was the two of you. Every cloud has a silver lining and all that...
Went to Windsor on Saturday night for Tom's birthday and was joined by the Houstons and the Pollards of this world. Hadn't planned on getting drunk as had to spend the whole of the following day in Norfolk for Great Aunt and Uncle's 50th Wedding Anniversary, but inevitably I got completely sloshed. Lisa Maffia was performing on stage for the majority of the evening, but I was totally oblivious to that one, apparently. The driver of our minibus was an absolutely cracking find - 'Raf' I think the chap's name was...
Am very much enjoying hurtling around in Mario, who is now sporting a pair of extremely exclusive seat covers...and a Bagpuss air freshener!
Keep up the good work, and do try to look after Pollard. Was trying to ascertain with her the other evening how you heads don't bang together if you do a tandem bungy jump?! Answers on a postcard, please...
Love de dum de dum de dum. x

(Just wrote a long message, then it disappeared...must have got the sum wrong. Doh!) Got the letter Charlie. Brilliant photos, squidgy friend seemed nice. Loved all the news, and love you more than that, plus ten teaspoons. Your latest blogs (with accompanying pic of Matt shooting the tube..or was it Nic the Greek?) indicate there is no let-up in the joys and wonders of this trip. Our envy knows no bounds. How they gonna keep ya, down on the farm...? Had a gloopy cheese 'n tomato toasted sandwich for lunch - cheese stretched for yards like chewing gum. Off to RAC Country club, racing at Sandown - I'll stick something on a nag's nose for you. 'Hi' to Manda. xxxx
