After seven glorious days in Rome its time to say andiamo. Ive had the most wonderful time exploring the ancient ruins and the modern cuisine. Somehow its hard to think of home when you are discovering the most amazing sights from thousands of years ago, and indulging in local fare and specialities (not that theres anything wrong with tacos Ron). Yesterday when I went for a walk within about 50metres in each direction where roman icons such as the colesseum, the arch of Titan, the bronze statue of the she wolf suckling Romulus and Remus, some ruins of the Palatine, as well as some famous steps that many marriages occur on (despite an initial consideration, I decided that one husband was enough). I have walked many countless kilometres in the past week and while it would be nice to come back like one of these slender Italian women, its unlikely given the steady diet of breakfast cornetto (iced croissants), prosciutto and formaggio panini and other delights. As they say, Arriverderci Roma! Braeden and Siena, I hear that you are missing me lots in between painting, visiting friends and making cup cakes so keep having fun and looking at the moon and stars each night for me. Baci (kisses) to you all. Love, Krista.
