I never really liked messing up, and was taugh to avoid mistakes as much as possible in my early childhood years. Soon, I realized that mistakes were growth and something to be accepted as apart of life. But still lived in a manor that looked down on imperfections, seeing them as a flaw of my character.. not achieving a standard.
WELL you get the point, I think that as a society, no matter how much amount of preeching, mistakes are still viewed as mistakes.
This is my exchange, and since the 6 weeks Ive been here its the point of my biggest growth.
You learn to make mistakes, you have to. It's impossible, and I mean impossible not to. Whether it's french, or a social aspect or in school its a secondly occurence. But you also learn the real way to handle mistakes and how to laugh about them. And this is what they talk about when they say you will grow, I can feel it already.
Let it roll off your shoulders, you are in Belgium for heaven sakes.
Catherine!
