I think I have a new theory for life, you never know a girl until you bake with her, you never know a mom until you walk the dog with her and you are never accpeted in the family until you have a button sew on for you.
Yesturday, I made Belgian chocolate truffles avec ma souer and Cam (le amis du ma souer) (ask me how good licking the spoon was) along with going on my daily walk with my host Mother. She has been teaching me French for the last two days and these walks were so insightful into customs, my host family, and myself. All around amazing day again, visiting the Wavre open air-market, playing cards (easiest french learner) and being introduced to even more things. As always, I keep in mind the people who allowed me to be here, my Rotary club in Summerside, my Family, my friends, and today when I go into Brussels for an official welcome I will make them proud and try to be a good ambassader for the town I love so much.
This is my day plan, ready, set, go.
Oh, and this morning my Mother sewed a button on to my broken dress for me.
PEI in my heart, Belgium on my mind.
As always, Catherine.
