Left Ellendale Pool and it's incredible fly population about 8:15am and headed along a scenic drive through rolling hills, past a massive wind farm and into Geraldton.
Geraldton is a major town with a population of about 35,000.
Hanno had some running repairs done on his radio meaning we can now actually hear what they are saying. Not sure if that's a good thing.
After a coffee on the foreshore we stocked up on groceries, fuel etc and headed north along the coast road. After calling into Coronation Beach, a great little camping area, we reached Port Gregory, our camping spot for the night.
We had hoped to stay a few days and get the boat in the water, but the 15 to 20 knot on shore winds soon put a dampened on that idea. Still it is a really nice caravan park with particularly friendly management and fellow campers.
Port Gregory is a shack town situated on a sandy beach with a reef acting as a natural breakwater, for as far as you can see in either direction along the beach.
Over drinks and a game of darts in the common room, we made a decision to call a rest day tomorrow and spend the day here. Looking forward to relaxing, taking a walk along the beach and getting a few jobs done. We might even have another game of darts tomorrow to give the Hannans a chance to redeem themselves.
