With no plans for lunch, we decided on a whim as we walked past La Foda to go in to lunch at their La Plazuela restaurant. Bob had a Reuben, and I had tortilla soup: Roasted tomato-pasilla chile chicken broth, pulled chicken, Mexican cheeses, avocado, lime tortilla strips. The way it was served surprised me. The waitress brought a soup plate with a small tower composed of everything except the broth and tortilla strips. The strips were around it, and she poured the broth in from a gravy boat.
The photo is of the “wall” behind Bob, which is representative of all the walls of the restaurant. Charming.

Paula The soup sounds fascinating!! And you can never go wrong with a Reuben!! The wall is very interesting! Are those needlework squares?
Arolyn Those are painted glass panes! Isn’t that a great idea to transform doors and walls of glass to enclose an area? I think they were already there, and they just used that method to get rid of a transparent wall. I wondered what that area was used for before. The La Fonda was built in 1922.
