Day 2. Same place, same clothes, waiting for a 10:15 pm flight to Santa Fe.
We enjoyed a real meal, sitting at a table, for lunch—Southwest Caesar salads—definitely appreciated!
While waiting for our flight, we met and were able to spend some time visiting with the Johnsons, who were on their way home in Roswell; he, a pastor and social worker, was originally from Lafayette and she from Columbus, IN. We were eventually able (accidentally, actually) to switch to a 4-hour-earlier flight, this one to Albuquerque ABQ). That should get us to Santa Fe at about three hours earlier. We scheduled a Sandia Shuttle from ABQ to our hotel in Santa Fe.
Despite a late departure, seated four rows apart and on opposite sides of the okane, we arrived in time to not only meet our shuttle, but also to arrange to have the airlines deliver our luggage from SAF to our hotel. That would simplify things; all we would need to do was to pick up the rental car at SAF.
