The most I can tell you about Monday was that we spent a good 5 hours driving! And when I say driving, I mean fighting torrential rains and staving of the near misses of heading into the side of the roads, perhaps almost causing life altering injuries to the sheep in the countryside, and of course figuring out how to keep avoiding hydro planing on the ring road. Ok it was not that horrific, but it exhausted me so much that I could hardly do anything once we got to the guesthouse. Bonnie however was in desperate need to go down to the beach to watch the wild waves come in! Crazy beach girl! I relaxed and slept a bit until it was time for dinner. Dinner was great though, we had a choice of catfish, fried cod, or fish stew. Bon did the cod, and I did the stew. It was delicious but extremely filling. At dinner we met a couple of English couples, they had guessed that we were from Canada because of our accents. And of course Bon's response was, "I didn't think we had accents!" I guess to a Newfie that might sound true??! Lol just kidding Bon. Well after dinner it was straight to bed, but not before Bon, she had her traditional whiskey night cap, which she decided to share with the English folks because she had a lot left in her bottle! I on the other hand have almost a full bottle of vodka left, which I plan to put away when we get back to Reykjavik tomorrow! For now off to bed as we have an early start tomorrow! The west coast spots and then back to the city! Can't believe it's been almost 2 weeks since we left Toronto and we will be back in 2 days!!!
