First morning in Sanur, Bali! It's so humid here, I woke up feeling all sticky! The room is so cute and the bathroom is amazing considering its a hostel! Right up my street, I like a good bathroom! We showered then headed out for breakfast. So the whole point of travelling is to budget and slum it for a few months...well we just can't do that I'm afraid! Instead of going to a dirt cheap cafe where you can get a full English for 10p or something ridiculous, we happen to end up in a hotel restaurant having a 5 course buffet breakfast! We started with fresh fruit, second course was scrambled eggs, toast with the crusts cut off, potato and garlic hash, mushrooms and tomato! Next on the menu was a huge bowl of cereal, followed by three warm chocolate crossiants. Just when we thought it was all over, out came chocolate waffles! There was so much food they had to drag over another table. This was all washed down with fresh orange juice and a teapot full of tea. I'm watching my weight so didn't drink all the tea. All of that came to £6! It's just insane! After that feast, we waddled back to the hostel to chill by the pool. We all listened to some music and sunbathed for few hours. It was really nice, but very hot! I FaceTimed mum, and also managed to FaceTime Hollie and Kerry, my gorge cousins! It was so good to see them and the bubbas! At around 4 pm we all walked to the beach, there was a yoga class on so Sarah and Sarah went to that. If I'm really honest, yoga is not my thing and would irritate me...it's too slow and relaxed, I prefer more active things. I walked along the beach checking out all the restaurants and spas. Sanur is not as big as I'd imagine. We all met back at the hostel, showered and got ready for dinner out along the beach. I decided to do my make up out by the pool as there was still a bit of natural light left. I was lucky enough to be serenaded by Phillip who happened to walk passed and grabbed his guitar, then perched on the sun lounger next to me whilst I put my make up on. He's got a cracking voice though, I was loving it, I kept the requests coming! Unfortunately, that had to come to an end and we headed out to find a restaurant. They're not too pushy here when you walk passed which we all really liked. We had a lovely dinner on the beach with candles and cocktails. Then we headed to 'Bamboo' an amazing cocktail bar on the beach! I had my fav, pinas colada! Then a short walk back to the hostel and another early night. The heat seemed to take it out of all of us!
