Breakfast was included in our stay at the hotel, right on the beach front as well. I felt a bit home sick today with it being two years ago yesterday my little nanny died. I was desperate to speak to mum. I text mum just to ask to speak at some point maybe when she got up. With that a had a FaceTime call from her and when I answered it she was hanging out her bedroom window at 2 am desperately trying to get reception. I told her I would call her back another time but she was adamant she wanted to make sure I was ok. After speaking for 20 minutes or so I felt a new woman! She just knows me inside out and knows what to say to make everything all better, so lucky to have her! Before coming out, mum had arranged with out me knowing for all my family and friends to write a letter to me to open whilst out here and she put them all in a small box. I've already opened Jodie's, Stacey's and one from auntie Jen and uncle Mike. They make me laugh and cry at the same time, such a lovely thought and really appreciated. She told me to go back to the room and open hers and that it would cheer me up! Well I was absolutely bawling my eyes out by the end of the first page, but I did feel so much better! In a much happier mood, I headed to the pool. We dedicated today to topping up our tans by the hotel pool and having some spa treatments. I had a pedicure and Balinese cream bath. It was nice but very different to spas we have at home. There's definitely more attention to detail at home but then you'll pay 5 times the price, so can't complain really! We managed to move to a cheaper room as we were going to have to leave the hotel at 1.30 am to head to the volcano walk tomorrow so I asked the receptionist is she could knock a bit off as we weren't having the included breakfast which she agreed to. So it came to £6 a night! Insane! Back to the pool I went to chill. We sat at the restaurant bar that overlooked the sea front for the rest of the evening and I had a couple of piña coladas. We decided to order some food for dinner there. It was nice to spend the night in our bikinis and sarongs, not bother with hair and makeup for a change. I was feeling so chilled! Then we headed back to the room to pack up all our stuff ready for the long journey ahead of us tomorrow morning.
