I woke up at 03.30 am and was convinced it was time to get up! I even looked at my phone to see that was the time, but no...the phone was wrong! It wasn't until I saw complete darkness outside that I thought I might try catch a few more hours in bed! When it eventually was time to get up, we got ready, packed all our rucksacks up and headed for breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The girls had rice...still not ready for that! We then took all our bags to a holding room at reception and met our tour guide who was going to take us through the Munduk Jungle to see two natural waterfalls! Walking boots and backpacks at the ready we set off! The trek was incredible! We saw chocolate, tobacco, nutmeg, avocado plants and loads of other fruits. There was a little food shack in the middle of the jungle and we bought some water and nuts to keep our energy levels up. Both the water falls were amazing! I can't even explain it in words! We took lots of pictures then headed back to the hotel. We had been walking downhill all the way to the waterfalls which meant it was uphill all the way back...it was like a boot camp! It was 35 degrees and we all had massive backpacks on, none of us were prepared for that! The trek was 3 hours long so we got back at midday. We were all starving so went out the hotel looking for some cheap snacks. We didn't get very far. The first place we came to smelt like dog, and the food look like it had been there for two years, which it probably had! I can't imagine they get many tourists going in there, only us nutters! So we headed back to the hotel restaurant and had a lovely lunch. Another fixed priced taxi was coming for us at 1 pm to take us on to Lovina. On the way we stopped off at the Banjar Hot Springs. The springs were in shape of a small swimming pool but all natural sulphur water. We messed around there for an hour, then decided to leave. Sarah remembered a small purse that she hadn't seen since Oz so was naturally worried about that. We tried to remember where we last saw it but she was sure it was lost. We headed back to the car then drove to a Buddhist Ministry. It was interesting to see, their meditation schedule was insane, I even saw a man walking and meditating at he same time...bit unusual to observe! We then drove on towards our final stop for the day, Adirama Beach Hotel in Lovina. This was like a holiday hotel, but again it was so cheap to stay there, £10 a night, so we couldn't resist! The swimming pool was so cute with little fountains. We got dressed up and walked towards the town for food. The lady at reception said it would take 5 minutes... She lied! 15 minutes later we still weren't where the restaurants were. We eventually found a little restaurant that looked really nice. We had to wait ages for our food, Sarah had a migraine and it was by far the worst food I've ever had in my life. So not the best choice. We then had the dreaded walk back. I was just thinking if all the calories we were burning. I offered to take the camp bed as was on the floor and bugs have almost stopped bothering me now. I was so glad to get into it!
