Day 11The birthday party was one to remember with Wayne certainly being made a fuss of by the young and old at GGA.The children sang happy birthday, which followed by the birthday boy receiving the bumps, which was no easy feat considering his age! We circled the bon-fire and tucked into a delicious braai organised by the go-go's and the now exhausted children were whisked off to bed we continued the party with the other volunteers back at the rondavel. Our building work was done, but we wanted to help with the interior of the house so we decided to have a whip round and gave sufficient funds for beds and furniture. We took a last visit to site to say our good-byes to Baba Elliot and the construction team and then we set off to enjoy the rest of the afternoon at the local beach. With the exception of Nigel who took a trip with Charlie to the Valley of a Thousand Hills, an area where GGA have an outreach project with the people living there. In the evening we attended a live choir at the GGA theatre. The singing, dancing and costumes combined created a wonderful performance which was enjoyed by the audience, especially the children who showed their appreciation by raptous applause and screeching. It was a fitting end to our trip which really has been an amazing and rewarding experience one that none of us will ever forget.
