Day 9, Day 6 of the House Build.After an early night we woke up to what looked like an English summer's day - grey and drizzly. Everyone was keen to get down to site hoping the inclement weather wouldn't thwart our attempts to finish by close of play today.2nd coats were started on 3 of the internal rooms along with first coats to the external walls. Day 9, Day 5 of the House Build.The day started as usual on site at 7.30 with hand mixing of mortar to loosen up stiff muscles and, today warm up on a cold morning.Work starts on completion the top courses of blockwork and continuing of "blackwashing" of walls.Wayne leaves site to look for a saw (which is eventually located on site) with Baba Elliott and magically returns with the first piece of working powered equipment. Day 8 - Day 5 of the House Build After a much needed and appreciated weekend away from site, the Brookfield house was up and raring to go by 7am with all present on site by 7:30. The howling winds that had kept some of us awake soon passed to see in the start of yet another scorchingly hot day. Day 5 - Day 4 of the House Build The day started at the building site in true Brookfield fashion.
