A fire alarm was our wake up call today at 7 a.m., not fo bad considering my alarm was set for 7:30. Got up and met up with some of our ladies for continental breakfast. We all parted ways, some to go work on photography project, others to get tattoos. I went back upstairs to write, and upload and organize more photos. I may or may not have taken a short cat nap, because the last two days I have lost sleep. I have taken only a few naps on this trip, because I try to stay awake so I do not miss anything. I was going to meet up with Ashley and Grace for lunch, but their work for their project was taking longer than expected, so I went to the square next to the train station where there was a outdoor market today. This is the first time since we have been here that this market has been up, and it was amazing. There were booths of French cheeses, a stand with thousands of spices, souvenir stands, and stands dedicated solely to Turkish delight. There were French, Indian, German, Turkish, etc. food tents. There was a tent that made burgers from exotic meats such as ostrich, kangaroo, and wild boar burgers. While I was walking around trying to figure out where to start I ran into none other than Allen Sheets. So we started paroosing the stands and Al decided on a German bratwurst which was good, I got a French potatoes provential, then Al and I both got a small piece of pistachio Turkish delight, Al then proceeded to get a wild boar burger, and I got a wedge of Italian dark chocolate with chunks of coconut in it. There were plenty of other things that I would have liked to try, but I was trying to make the last of my pound notes last me through dinner. After our graze Al went in search of his favorite whiskey, and I went to walk through part of Glasgow that I had not been before. After I walked through it I realized why I had never been there, because it was rather dull. I walked back to the hotel to find that all of the ladies that had gotten tattoos were back, so we had a little show and tell time, and I got to see Ashley, Brittany, Taylor, Heidi, and Billie's Scottish thistles and Megan's peacock. I took another nap because the night before I woke up with a bad stomach ache, and was still tired. When I woke Ashley, Naomi, Alison, Grace, and I went to dinner at Ghandolfi, and Ashley and I shared a sirloin steak with parmesan mashed potatoes and fried gnocchi. YUM. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The tables, chairs, bar, etc. are all made of wood that is very organic looking, and partial stained glass windows of blue fish. When we got back to the hotel we started getting ready for our last night out in Glasgow. We got a little shanzzed up at met up with Bart at the pub. Ash, Grace, Bart, and I played foosball for a bit, and when Naomi got there the foosball really got going. We finished our pints and headed to another pub/cafe called Stereo for a half pint where we happened upon Sean, who decided to meet up with us when he finished his drink with his friends. We made our way to NICENSLEAZY because we were out to dance, and the place was full of euro hipsters: it was the best people watching since I have been here. Sean met up with us there but it just so happens that the basement dance area was closed, so after a beer and a tequila we left to find another place. Most places were closed and we were thinking of just going back to Barts to have tea, but then Sean remembered a place up the street called Flat 0/1 that has dancing, so that is where we went. Best night of dancing of my life so far. The music was all from the 40's, 50's, 60's and I think I knew the words to every single song besides maybe 2: thank you Lisa B:) The whole thing was so much fun: the flat had high ceilings, Victorian couches, vintage flare, awesome music, and might I say, some pretty brilliant dancing by everyone involved. There is something to say for a man who is a fearless lead, it makes all the difference. Last night we were all crazy dancing machines. We stayed at the flat until close, and then we all walked back together. I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
