2 weeks since the last entry.....going to have dig dip to get everything thats happened down on paper.....so here goes!!!
Last blog ends with us in Witches Hat Hostel and the remainder of that week we both work everyday so we dont have a chance to go exploring anymore. Were tired of hostels, especially our shoddy bunk beds and the walrus just over from us. I say walrus as this guy could snore. I think im bad but this guys league of his own. Sheepishly he explains that he snores when hes had a few beers. My face would have been a picture when he strolls into the dorm with a crate of red wine under his arm next evening haha! So with this we frantically search any houseshare/roomshare/rental website and on Wednesday 3rd we view a houseshare in Northbridge. Avenue looks ok but typically Number 55 has a crashed car on the drive and a garden that would look more at home in Jumanji than a front garden haha. We knock the door anyway and some freaky English girl answers and basically shuts the door in our face. Sod this its s***e! Battling through the 'Peace' signs hanging from the ceiling we leave and text the landlord saying we dont like his house lol. Hope ive painted the picture for you!
Next day we view another. This one is clean, crisp and modern. Just what were after. We put on our best phone voices for the duration of the viewing (Sunny knows what I mean lol) and leave. Next day we get a text saying we can move in next day so we pack up quick sat morn and get over there and move in. Theres pics up if u havent seen the joint!
On Sunday 7th we go on the Swan River Scenic Cruise that Bath's equivalent of Posh and Becks, aka Amy n Sunny very kindly bought us prior to leaving. We travel from Perth to Fremantle seeing sights along the river before wine tasting local produce on the return leg. Was a great afternoon, the weather was kind to us and we saw dolphins to top it off. Theres few pics from the day on here. Thanks again guys!!!!
Next week we settle into the house and again I work late most evenings but Wednesday we get to visit Chocolateria San Churros in Northbridge. Wowzas trousers! Chocolate heaven! Hot chocolate, chocolate fondue, chocolate dips, chocolate brownie! U name it, they chocolate it lol! Afterwards, we chill on beanbags in Northbridge Piazza watching a film outdoors on the big screen. What more could you want ey??
Nearly there! Saturday we visit 'The Perth Mint'. All sorts of things for everyones taste. Bridie wanted the diamonds, I fancied the gold nuggets and bars. Expensive tastes ha! We witness a gold pouring, adults ooo'ing like kids in sweet shop ha! Saturday night we throw on the gladrags and hit Northbridge with boy I work with and his gf. We end up in a bar called Mustangs and drink til ridiculous oclock. What a night though! Sore head next day, cough Bridie cough lol!!
Sunday we catch up with Nicola Franks who is related to me somewhere up the ol' family tree lol. Her 2 boys Olly and Will are adorable and we talk and catch up but havent got enough time after shes been gone so long. Another meet defo on the cards!
And here we are Tuesday 16th October, now writing out of West Perth, Perth, WA. See it wasnt that bad was it ha!
