Its been a while since we spoke and a lot of water has gone under the bridge since then so a list of highlights of the past month will be written....
We started with a trip to Perth Mint on 16th October. Never seen so many coins, diamonds and gold bars in one place. Interesting afternoon and got to see a gold bar poured in front of us! Day later we pop down to Freo (Fremantle) to catch up with Nicola snd her boys and their adorable. Good weekend.
Next big deal is the purchasing of a car. Wowzas cars are expensive here and we pick up a 1991 Toyota Corolla but, to be fair to the old girl shes showing no signs of her age and she runs nicely. Nice result for us!
Road Tripping!!! This weekend the 27/28th we go North and South of Perth. We cover around 550kms this weekend and head South to Preston Beach. We get onto a stretch of 2/3 mile beach to find 3 others on it. Amazing. Next day we head North to Moore River. A surreal place where the river and sea are seperated by a 20 metre sand bar. Again, amazing day and we do it by car! This car is doing the job.
For Bridies birthday we book a trip away. Wow what a day out! We see koalas and feed kangaroos. This has made our Oz trip so far. Another highlight is sandboarding and 4WD in Lancelin sanddunes.
And finally weekend just gone which is 10/11/12. Again we went tripping. Saturday we hit Penguin Island and see various wildlife on amazing beaches that are turquoise, shallow and full of fish. Good for snorkelling. Sunday, we go to a working winery and take part in wine tasting. Quite a treat and Bridies in her element!
Thats a fly by of what weve been up to. All is well and were loving Perth. Also, the motor which is still unnamed is building a lot of character with the places shes seeing ha!
