I love Ko Samui already, its such a great island with so many parts to it!
Our mission began with food… it should have been with finding a bike but we're always hungry.
We walked to the fishing village just down the road and had lunch in an amazing Irish bar, where we actually managed to have a pint of Guinness and a pint of Thatchers! The first time we have seen this drinks the whole time we have been travelling. AMAZING! They also sold Pork sandwiches with stuffing and apple sauce, i absolutely could not turn this down & James had a steak and Guinness pie. We were very happy people at this moment in time.
Once we were no longer hungry we got a taxi to Chewang where we had been emailing some guy about hiring one of this bikes, James really wanted a Honda MSX 125 so this is what he found of ofcourse! A bit more of a boost than the standard automatics i've been used too but quite good fun & it keeps James happy!
We decided to have a 'quick' go around the blog mainly to explore the island abit more but more so because we needed some petrol, 20 minutes later the red light had been on for a while and still no petrol. I started to think Ko Samui did not supply petrol…
Then all of a sudden we seemed to do one big circle and be back where we started, and there was a petrol station just down the road, oops!
All full of petrol we headed back to the hostel to get ready to go for some drinks!
We had a little look around the shops in the fishing village and we decided to split and go find each other a few things we could wrap up for christmas day! On a small budget i brought mainly jokey things for James, theres seriously nothing else here to get and i don't fancy carrying a Honda MSX on the place.. although it would probably fit in the over head compartment!
After we had a few things and then had to try and hide them from each other for the rest of the night we found a place called Karma Sutra and decided to eat there! Just as i had ordered me & James a drink a group of people all wearing santa tops on sat at the table next to us and soon started chatting to us! They were on a reunion as all used to work with each other in Egypt. They were crazy and kept singing the Wurzels to us all night! haha
After we'd eaten they offered for us to join them so we did, we sang songs and got unwanted relationship advice of one of the 62 year olds for most of the night but it was cool, nights like that are awesome but again it meant we had too much to drink. I literally hate hangovers so much!
We said our goodbyes and headed down the road to a beach bar i had spotted earlier, beanbags on the sand, love stuff like that! We stopped here for an hour and had some beers and a shisha, Definitely should have had the shisha it always gives me the worst headaches the morning after :/
J&K Over & Out x
