Today we have to get the ferry from Surat Thanti to Ko Samui, the weather wasn't great today so the sea was abit choppy… luckily neither of us get sea sick!

We had to get a bus at 10.30am which took us to the pier about an 1 hour and then hoped onto the ferry, The journey was fine actually and we managed to buy something that looked like duck but i'm really not sure it was, it was served with rice and would do until we could get a proper meal lol

We got to Ko Samui about 1pm and we were instantly hassled by all the taxi drivers, we got stuck with one who tried to cram us into a mini bus with 10 other people, we politely declined and walked away & hoped into a little tuk tuk, our hostel was called 2W Beach Hostel but he clearly thought we meant The W Hotel, so after stopping outside this hotel and telling us this is where we were staying i thought James has surprised me for christmas… but he hadn't and we definitely weren't staying at The W :-( Luckily we had a local on the same tuk tuk who knew where we were staying and she directed the driver 5 minutes down the road.

When we walked in we were greeted by the owner who is such a lovely lady, so friendly! And asked us to treat it like our home. Which we will certainly do!

The room is awesome, which a lounge, kitchen and bedroom all in one so very convenient and like our own little apartment & directly outside our room is the beach yay!! We even have some little deckchairs to sit outside on :)

Our next mission was to find a moped to hire for the week that we're here. They only rent automatics here and this is not longer good enough for James, next door were too expensive, like ridiculous as we already did our homework and knew what we should be paying. So although it was convenient we gave it a miss and decided to have a look around tomorrow instead.

We chilled at our hostel for the rest of the afternoon, and then went to a Thai restaurant just next door for our dinner, i had noodles and James had Curry both very delicious and the restaurant was right on the beach which was nice, it was however unfortunately quite windy :/

We had a nice cold large change then headed to bed to be fresh for tomorrow.
