My life as an American teen.
So after my USA tour I spent a couple days recovering, sleeping in and watching movies! After that my host family and I headed to Wyoming to the Cheyenne Frontier days, the largest rodeo in the USA. We spent the day watching the bull riding, horse riding, steer roping along with a few other events, as well as shopping at stalls. My host family spoilt me with some true Cowgirl boots, all together it was a really good day. The next day we headed to Denver to a Water Park where we had a private Cabana and were treated like VIP's. There we swam in the wave pool, tubed down the lazy river and slid down the slides, it was so much fun and a perfect day to be out in the sun. A couple days later I had a girls day out, my host mother and my 2 host sisters and I headed to a flash Italian Restaurant for lunch, all you can eat pasta, pizza and salad and cute desserts to top it off, it sure was yummy! Then my host sister and I headed to Pearl Street in Boulder for some shopping. During my holidays I have also been doing different study courses, first was an Intro to Fashion Design class, then Sketching classes and currently am doing a Portifilo one. On August 6th my host family yet again spoiled me and took me to Las Vegas. The first day we walked up the Strip, and my host dad and I went on the New York, New York roller coaster which was tons of fun. That night we went to the Cirque de Soleil Elvis show, it was absolutely amazing, I could have seen it again and again. We walked back to our hotel (Mandalay Bay) stopping to look at the water show at the Bellagio which was really pretty and to see the buildings all lit up at night. The next day we spent the morning in the wave pool at the hotel before returning to the Strip, we started at the Venetian, where my host sisters and I went on a Gondola ride which was super cute before heading back on to the Strip to look at some shops and stop off at M&M world which is always fun to look around. Our last day in Vegas we spent it relaxing at Mandalay Beach, there was a wave pool, a river ride along with 2 other pools, again we had a Cabana with a private pool. The weather had been boiling hot over the weekend reaching to around 110 F and 43 C so it was nice to be in the cool water. The next day we packed up and headed back to Colorado in first class what style. During the weekend we also had some delicious meals at nice cafes and restaurants! I loved the weekend and am so thankful to my host family for taking me, I truely got to experience the rich life for a weekend! For the remainder of the holidays I relaxed at home, saw the movie "The Help" with my host family which was a really good one and caught up with a few friends and before I knew it the holidays were over and it was time to go back to school. We started on Friday so at least we got to ease in with just one day of School. That Saturday I had a Rotary picnic with all the new studetns so it was cool to meet everyone. Now I have had one full week of school. Its going pretty weel, im taking some good subjects and have some exciting things to look forward to. Football season starts up next week so it will be fun to see some games, my advanced drama class are going to a drive in movie next weekend, next month is homecoming which im super exciteded about, and halloween wont be too far away!
