I think I say this every time, but I really can not believe I've been here 3 months all ready, time surely does fly, and its going too fast! I'm loving my time here, enjoying every moment.
The last month has been full of different activities.
I have moved to my second host family, and have been here for just over 3 weeks now, they are very lovely. The last month I was busy with prom organsining, so lots of shopping, which I defently wont complain about, I really enjoyed it. Spring break was at the start of the week, I stayed in colorado, I spent time shopping, sleeping in and spending the days relaxing at home, went to disney princesses on ice in denver, skiing and to the rocky mountains. So still was very busy and enjoyed it very much. I have to say my skiing has defently improved, i'll come home a pro :) I went to a rotary meeting up in the moutains at a casino which was kind of fun and the food was delicious. School has been going well, I have started going out for lunch some days with a group of friends and thats good, usually get a decent meal and has been fun to try some of the local resturants and takeaway shops. One weekend I got to meet Tim Gunn from project runway, Me my host dad and brother went, we were treated like VIPS, while we waited for him to arrive, I got my makeup done by professionals while being served sparking water and chocolate dipped strawberries, then there was a mini fashion show, when he finally arrived I got to meet him, have my photo professionally taken with him and a signed copy of his book, he is was very kind and complemnted me on my outfit, was a good day. In my PE class at school we have started playing American football, so im really enjoying that and very american, the other day I had my first school assembly/ pep rally, all the sports teams were announced, the chior sang and the dance and soccor team preformed, there were afew announcements then a dance and cheer competition, was a lot of fun, My school even have a spirt stick which the juniors won, yay! Prom was just last weekend and it was amazing, I had the best time. everyone in my group were really nice and lots of fun, The day was very stressfull, getting my hair done from 12.30 - 3.30 then make up 3.30 - 4 and then off to my friends for group photos, after that we all headed to an italian resturant for dinner, and after that arrived at prom at 10, we danced the night away and then at 1 headed to the school afterprom, the theme was monoply and there were lots of games and activites and food for everyone, at 6 that morning we went to Ihop exhausted from having about an hours sleep, arrived home at 7.30 and slept until about 3, but I really enjoyed my time, a night I will not foget. so that pretty much sums up my last month, I have still so much to look forward to.
Wow 4 months, it still is hard to believe, time is going so fast!
So the last month started off with easter, my day went well and I was spoiled with lots of chocolate, I went to church with my host family in the morning, visted with my first host family, then hung out that day,and in the afternoon went out for easter dinner at the neighbours. I have been mostly kept busy with school but have inbetween then been with friends, made some shopping trips and spent time relaxing sleeping watching tv and movies along with other things. On the 30th of march I headed off an hour and a half away for 3 days to the rotary district conference, I had so much fun and really enjoyed my time there, all the exchange students were there, we stayed at a big hotel and on the first day we spent time hanging out and catching up with each other, we practiced for the talent show the following day, we had lunch with all the rotary members and had a flag ceremony where everyone from there countries walked through to the front with thier country flag, that was a lot of fun reminded me of a pageant, that night we went out for dinner and later all the exchange students gathered in a room and hung out til late in the night, the next day we practiced for the talent show in the morning, then that show was after lunch, that was fun, I was involved in a dance but we had singers, and skits and different acts too, after that we set off 10 minutes away for some shopping, later that night we sat with rotary again for dinner and then there was a rotary dance, we all got dressed up and it was alot of fun, there was another schools prom on the same night at the hotel which we got to go to for a little bit so that was a fun experience too, again we stayed up late, all the exchange students hanging out together and the next day we had breakfast, said our goodbyes and set off for home. I came back to school to find the childcare class had the fake babys reminded me of the movies, so american! The 9th of may was my birthday, it was a monday so I had school, it was nice having no uniform so I got to dress up for my birthday, my host family took me out for dinner to a very flash resturant which had very nice food and a delicous chocolate dessert, so that was very nice of them, I had my birthday party the following saturday it was a casual thing, had 6 friends of mine come to my house and we had dessert and just hung out, it was a lot of fun and worked out really well. Last thursday I was invited to a school trip with the advanced drama group, we went to denver to dinner and a play, I really enjoyed it and everyone was really nice, the bus ended up breaking down in the pouring rain so was a bit of an adventure and got home at 11.30pm so a late night, but i had so much fun with all the students. yesterday was my last full day of school, I only have 3 short days left and then summer break yay! Last night I also moved to my new host family, they seem very lovely and I look forward to spending my summer with them, today we went shopping and tomorrow we are off to Elitch Gardens ( the theme park in Denver).
