I hope you had an awsome valentines day! I did except I had three tests today. the school bored is getting better just there is this thing called c.a.r.e.s: and the lady that is running it was like "we don't need to protest because or kids already did that for us. lets give it up for the kids!" it was weird. and right away when we saw it on the t.v. we turned it off. anyway I got a bag full of candy from all of my friends. And i gave all of them one. But the odd thing is my teacher was really really over the top nice today. She gave us all sorts of treats. we do not have school on friday so whopee. Mama mary is very very stylish. and that food made me gag! did you get and valentines (not counting the one from the big guy mr. giraffe) ha ha ha! tonight my mom came home with a pizza shaped like a heart. It was sweet! Drew came home and was like what the heck, the pizza is shaped like a heart!!! In band today my teacher mr. nicklay said keep your buts tight and blow fast so my friend carly and I were making silly faces that looked like we might of had michael jacksons style of plastic surgery! ha ha ha! well I hope youo have a great valentines day! because i had an interesting one!

Breanne........Happy Valentines Day! We are enjoying a blustery winter day here in Iowa. Kenya was on the national news yesterday due to Barack Obama's surge at the caucuses. Looked like the Kenyans were celebrating with beer & not tea this time. Hope you will get to go on your safari as planned.

YO YO,
Guess who was here yesterday, one of your peoples'...good ol Barack. He came to speak at the Kohl Center yesterday and I really wanted to go, but I didn't get out of class until 5:15 and the line was already thousands long. Although, his talk didn't start until 8PM! Yeah, he is quite the celebrity here. With the freezing cold...and recording breaking snow (I know, you're jealous you're not here to see this "award-winning winter") I was not about to wait outside and freeze for three hours. I completely enjoy your new pictures...Mama Mar Mar looks nice, although I'd probably have anxiety over there with my tooth fetish, ehh? Of course, even developed UK seemed to have a similar scenario. It sounds as though you've got quite a bit of school...for whatever reason I thought study abroaders had like an hour a day. Well I suppose I should do my Social Work assignment that is due in exactly one hour and 8 minutes. Love hearing from you and missing you dearly! Eat a minnow for me.
Dad
Hey witto Beezy,
It's nice to finally see Mary and Lilli. Mary looks American, wearing the latest fashions. And the dinner plate looks quite healthy, eat it up!
As for the little poop terrorist, maybe you should give him a shot of mase to remind him not to mess with the mzumbo? (white) girl from America.
Kwsahilli sounds like 4 hrs of torture. But the Kenyan history lesson sounds interesting. Those damn British! Sounds like they're giving you a little propaganda too. But early American history bashes the British too.
I hope the conclusion of the talks brings about some stability, so you can adventure out and about in the country.
I spent Saturday doing everyone's taxes and you and your sister's FAFSA. I'm getting tired of the cold weather keeping us stuck inside. I need to think of a project to get started on.
Always thinking of you.
Love you......DAD
Emma
hey bre,
we have a two hour late start here in spirit lake! there is quite the commotion here because our school bored is going nuts! that minnow sounded "delish." My friend Katy is really enjoying the pictures, just like me! I think the the big smooch from the giraffe looked sick. ha ha ha!!! well its great to hear whats going on, and to see al the cute kids and pictures!
I love and miss you,
emma :)
Mother
Hey Toots! Good talking to you on Sunday! I am jealous of your weather, but not the bucket washing or the shower situation. I think I should try that with Amy, maybe she wouldn't wear so many clothes! Hey i got an answer to your questions about your account, check your email for that. It's cold again tonight. We don't have the snow though like the Daus. Your sisters were sure hoping for a late start. Tell Mom Mary her cousin Obama is still hanging in there against Hillary. Last I saw he was ahead of her in delegates by a nose. Not much to report since Sunday. I'm having lunch with Jenny tomrrow for her birthday, a month late. love & misses...........madre
Aunt Nancy
Hey girlie-
Is there any studying going on over there??? Aren't you jealous of the cold weather you are missing out on? We let out of school today at 1:30 because a winter storm is heading our way. If we're lucky, we'll have a late start tomorrow as well. -- Sounds like you are becoming quite the gourmet gal...sampling all those exotic dishes! You're a much braver soul than I!!! And now you can add bucket washing to your resume as well. Laura Ingalls has nothing on you!! ;-) Keep sending those blogs. They make great night time stories for the Dau kids...especially the biggest kid....Uncle Dave!!
Love,
Aunt Nancy

A few things: 1) I miss you. 2) love love LOVE looking at your pictures...like everyone else was saying, your smile tells all! 3) I JUST got your towel returned ... apparently there was some tape that was on four of the stamps, thus voiding them and so there wasn't enough postage...SO can I send it to you in Kenya? (I have something else to send too) unless that would be too hard to pick up? Then I can send it to your house...let me know either way? 4) Update on 628 stuff...we had a party Friday night for Krista and Megan's birthday (there are pictures up on f-book...it was GREAT.), otherwise it's just been lots of studying AND doing whatever possible NOT to study 5) I miss you! 6) What are classes like there? It'd be cool to hear more about them 7) Boy with poop story=funniest thing ever 8) I would also like to place an order for a baby...girl please! 9) And a pic of Mary would be great. 10) I'm glad your safe...
That about sums it up...we miss you very much! love you bre!
