Went along the hi van pass. The most stunning mountain drive in asia. 4 hours of climbing and sailing down in the bus for the best views I have ever seen. Arrived in hue. It was very hue-mid. Ha. This is rural traditional Vietnam. Went on a scooter tour with the 4 of us and guides into the sticks. Saw the old us bunkers and went deep into paddy fields where an old woman told my fortune. Spooky stuff. Saw the 3rd emperors old tomb then made some incense! Headed up to see where the tigers used to fight bears then onto a pagoda. Got back and headed out for some cocktails and food. Again lovely. Can't imagine using a knife and folk again
