After 13 hours on the train we transferred by bus to halong.... The new wonder of the world. Arrived at the hotel after an odd drive through rain. Then all of sudden like something out of the goonies all the mountains started appearing out of the sea. After a mooch we headed off to our boat trip. Wow. Woooow a massive boat just for us guys , thanks g adventures. After a seafood lunch we ended up at one of the mountains about 1 hour out. Explored the caves tried to guess the animals from the shapes. Back to the boat for some kayaking off a floating village. Good times. Got back in and hit the local market for Thai redbull and a viet coffee.... Too much cafeeeeen. Bought some chopsticks made with buffalo bone. Then shower, seafood and karaoke. We were joined by quan, our guide in the north and Charlie of course. We got very drunk in our booth and covered many viet classics and some queen. I have some great vids.
