After 13 hours on the train we transferred by bus to halong.... The new wonder of the world. Arrived at the hotel after an odd drive through rain. Then all of sudden like something out of the goonies all the mountains started appearing out of the sea. After a mooch we headed off to our boat trip. Wow. Visited the citadel. Wow. Really old Vietnam here. Ravaged by war and yet so well preserved. Walked round and took millions of pics . Saw elephants and statues! It was so hot I reckon it hit 38deg. Headed for some ban bo after a cyclo taxi. The old man that took me looked like he was going die die!! Then got on the 13 hour sleeper train to Hanoi. After getting provisions. Went along the hi van pass. The most stunning mountain drive in asia. 4 hours of climbing and sailing down in the bus for the best views I have ever seen. Arrived in hue. It was very hue-mid. Ha. Today was yet again boiling. Rented some scooters with the guys for 4 dollars. Rode up to the beach about 5km away and it was worth the ride. We paid the nicest old woman to park then went for a mooch. The beach had mountains and clear water and the sea was warm. Headed back for an adjustment for the suit, which looked amazing.
