The morning started with some yoga. Derrick and I walked up to the property's creek where there was a open structure with lights, fans, and a plexiglass floor above the creek water. The story was that the hut used to be a restaurant where sloths were often sighted. I didn't see any sloths but while I was doing yoga, a little gecko snuck up to my canada dry bottle and hung out on it. It must have been nice and cool. Then Jenny walked up and we all took a walk down the trail to a landing with ocean views. We headed back to the house to regroup and head out to the Ojochal.
We drove up to a tilapia farm and intended to have lunch there. Prior to eating, we all walked down to Cascada Pavon. It was a small waterfall attraction where we all could cool off in the water. The water went down to a smaller pool and was fairly crowded with people. After the dip and lots of photos, we headed back to the restaurant. We could go down to the farm and try to fish for tilapia. There was a little kid handing out the rig which consisted of a twig and fishing line. You had to toss the line out with a lob. Dave was the first to catch a fish, then TJ, Sean, and Sean helped Megan catch a fish. The rest of us struck out and headed back to the restaurant for lunch.
After the tilapia farm, we all drove out to Playa Tortuga. The beach had the softest sand with a sand barge that allowed you to walk way out but have the water still be hip level. The waves were decent sized with little undertow. And all the ocean water was warm like bath water. We headed back home just before the sunset and prepare for dinner back at the house.
For dinner, we had grilled steak and potatoes. Jenny made fresh pina colada's and we played games the rest of the night.
