It's only befitting of the situation after an incredible vacation to Denver (and before that, Savannah for xmas to be with my family) that I should take the red eye and do it with a severe lack of sleep. My plane left Denver at half past midnight and it felt as though my body and mind were being torn away from each other...like a time warp back to reality! I hit rock bottom when I found a bit of floor space to lay on next to the terminal and snoozed for two hours in Philadelphia. Tis the fun life of living airport to airport.
I arrived today in Rochester at 9am and ready to start my day back working with claims. I am home in Rochester for about a week, working on claims resolution before we are being sent back to Hartford, CT for some training. This will be my seventh trip to Whaler country since starting this job a year ago and have grown to learn the area quite well. About two weeks ago, my buddy Nick and I had indulged in the 2-ft long hot dog at Doogie's which was the popular dish of choice in Man vs. Food (the dude polished off two of those dogs and a plate of fries...I barely mustard-ed the fortitude after half a single dog.. PUN INTENDED!!
I like having time back in Rochester to catch up with friends and rest. It's rare to find time where we are working at home, or even home in general, so I am looking forward to re-connecting and hopefully partaking in a Sunday Funday at O'Cals. I can taste those $2 guinesses now....mmm mmm
