Wow, Happy New Year was amazing, my favourite one so far. It was different to what I was expecting (mainly because we had to get there so early), but the fireworks were brilliant. We got together in the apartment at about 2pm and started drinking because we couldn't be certain that we could drink at the fireworks... then we walked up to Circular Quay at about 4 but it was quite busy and the other people in the apartment wanted to try to get in at Opera House.... we did go back to Circulay Quay, and our place was quite good. The first fireworks went off at 9 and they were brilliant but midnight fireworks were brilliant (checkout the photos!) - most of mine were blurry because I wanted to see them for myself (and was quite drunk). Anyone coming back I would advise going to the area next to Botanic Gardens - the side verge thats open on New Years Eve because you can see the whole lot from there, our view of Opera House was cut off by the boats in the Harbour! Last journal entry from Sydney, off to Melbourne tomorrow and am really looking forward to it. Not sure if I will get back to Sydney, cant remember who I've told and who I haven't but I have had to book my flight home at the end of January because I have still not found a job and now run out of money! Sydney is not the place to come if you like to spend. So, next update will be nice and fresh with (I hope) lots of new faces to show!
