Hi guys hope you're all doing well :)

No real news really, I started my new job on Monday but it was not really an ideal job to do, mainly because you only get paid on commission and I can't afford to do that. The job was door-to-door donation collecting for a charity. It was an ok job but I need to be realistic I guess, and reality is I can't rely on commission! Just signed up to a an agency and they seemed impressed with getting me into customer service/admin work, not something I want to get back into on holiday but I haven't got many choices! Signed up to go on a bar course and to get my bar license too so I'm hoping to get into a bar job fairly sharphish as well. Money money money!! I think there's a thing for protests here because I was woken up for the second time today with a massive march going through Sydney, I think it was to do with workers rights because a big company went bust yesterday and had to let all of their staff go :(

Sorry for breaking your record Allison, I had no idea Australian post was so efficient or else I would've left it a while! Sill not sure what I'm doing for Christmas to be honest, but there will be people in the apartment so think we might go down to Bondi for the day and will get pictures to prove it :) Thanks for all your messages, I know what you mean Aunite Ann it was strange writing out cards in this heat. I spoke to Uncle Frank yesterday and it was nice to speak to him at last, he gave me some ideas about what to do when I get to Melbourne and I'm really looking forward to seeing him and Lilo and I really hope I get a chance to see Nicole as well in February when she comes over - just trying to get Nanna to pop over too (because it's as easy as that!).
