Hi everyone hope all is well. Well I have been quite bored the past week or so, not working, spending every waking moment (or so it felt) job hunting and getting nowhere fast! Some things have happened in that time though... did my bar course on Saturday, and it was great. The people were brilliant and so was the guy doing the course, we got to pull real pints, make real cocktails and mix real spirits - best of all, we got to drink them too! No one got really drunk but I got a bit tipsy because I hadn't eaten in the morning. On Sunday I was gearing up to hand out my CV to all the bars in Sydney by foot, but I worke up late and was being really lazy - I checked my phone and Cheryl had arrived in Sydney, so we went out for a few drinks and dinner (all on her I have to add, thanks Cheryl!) - it was good to catch up. Then on Monday I went in to Global Gossip and printed off 30 copies of my CV and got 30 copies of my bar license and bar skills certificate - and went into every bar I could find with my CV - guess what, you need a gambling license to work in a bar too! Most of them anyway, I have got one bar getting back to me and I am hopeful that lots of others will too, it is Christmas after all! On Monday we got some drinks in at the apartment... bad idea in a way but it was so funny. Me Bernie and Alex (the German guys in the apartment) started at about 8pm and then three more came as well. It was brilliant, and in so many ways I have some here to get the confidence to speak to people in that exact situation, and I did it, so I was happy about that! We said we were going to Sidebar but because we had all that drink we decided to stay in until midnight... well, a new guy moved in that day, and he looked sound asleep. Then he got up, stormed out and ten minutes later our LANDLORD was on the balcony asking us (very politely) to keep the noise down - fair enough, he didn't want a complaint from next door but how did he find out? New guy! What he expected living in a 9-bed apartment I don't know, but he didn't even ask us to keep it down so we were all peed off. We left to go to side bar but none of us could get in because we were so drunk, never had that happen to me before this truly is a holiday of firsts, and then two of us got home, and I went to bed. I had a one-day job at an agency on Tuesday so I was up at six with the worst hangover ever. I got the train which was really expensive because of the zone it was in (and it only took five minutes!), then I walked for another 45 minutes and spent the whole day doing... cardboard box making! How fun was that, oh well the pay was great so never mind. Went out for a while last night with Cheryl and someone she met in MK before coming out here, Lisa her friend also from MK and someone from Cheltenham they had met. I knew Lisa from somewhere but couldn't work out where from, then she asked which school I went to and she said her last name, I used to go to school with her little sister! Madness. I wasn't there for long, I was so tired and hungover and wasn't being very sociable so I came home. I had an interview today for a customer service consultant job - I enjoyed the interview and seemed to answer all the questions well, they made lots of notes but from my interviewing I know that might not be good! Its a pain to get to, but its permenant with a lot of overtime. I have also been offered a job doing data entry, closer and 8-4... you know what they say about buses! Decided to some here to update you all now, was going to do it later anyway but new guy p***** me off again just now saying to SOMEONE ELSE that I didn't do the cleaning yesterday when it was my turn (I did) - so he isn't doing it today on his turn. There's always one absolute idiot no matter who, what, when and where... I keep having really weird dreams about you lot - talking about my big trip and how much I'm looking forward to it, then I wake up and I'm here! God I waffle on, I learn something new everyday and have learnt to tell myself to shut up, tomorrow I will learn not to write so much nonsense I promise...
