Heaving heard the weather was a bit iffy in the middle of the country when we first landed in Vietnam, we took a chance and decided to visit the areas most historic town - another unesco world heritage site. Having loved the weather of halong bay we were quickly reminded of the Manchester rain that we were so used - it's not stopped pouring down since we got here - apparently this is nothing though; the locals take great delight in showing us how high the flooding got to in their shops 10 days ago, shoulder high with crocodile (ok maybe not crocodiles) - thankfully we have seen all we can see in this pretty little town and are heading south on another night bus for sunnier climates.
