So here we are in siem reap close to Angkor wat, the mean reason we came to Cambodia and maybe the most recognisable sight of south Asia. Not a great start to our trip as our hotel forgot to pick us up from the port - then finding our bed was broken and we had no water in the room!! I guess things come in three's!

Once we got over this hiccup we decided to rent bikes to visit the hundreds of temples. This was great if a little exhausting in the sun, the place is beautiful and it's impossible to take a bad photo. Each of the temples are massive and unlike stone henge and any other world heritage site you can actually climb all over them - not sure if this is a good idea for the future of the ruins but still we enjoyed clambering about.

Tomorrow we get up at 4:30 am to watch sub rise at the largest of the temples - angkor wat. More photos to follow shortly.
