Having loved sleepy kampot we got yet another bus to a small town / city called Battambang - a place famous for a mystical god stirring some rice with a mucky stick which turned the rice black and in turn his skin black also - bit of a weak reason to visit the place; the main draw is in fact a rickety old railway which has bamboo carts propelled by motorbike engines - such good fun and just like Alton towers!! From here we caught a scenic river boat to siem reap which took most of the day which was lovely and relaxing.
