Today was a beautiful day in the city! The weather was fantastic, blue skies all around! Went on a fantastic free tour, and thankfully met someone else that was traveling alone to talk to! Saw a lot of the city and got some great history on one of the few cities that wasn't leveled during either of the world wars!
After the tour, we ended up taking one of those CRAZY bikes that everyone faces the middle and pedals while one person (that you REALLY trust) steers over to a pub nearby. Thankfully we survived the trip (though I wasn't sure there) and had a drink with our tour guide. Heard a few more interesting tidbits about the city (including that only a week or so ago the government made it legal for musicians to play in the streets again!!!), and had a great time talking. I got in some more night shots of the beautiful castle and Charles Bridge in the middle of town. Went for some dinner after walking around for a bit and headed back to the hostel, where, unfortunately my insane room mate was home. As soon as he said "well.. but homosexuality is a choice.." I was done, and told him I wasn't having that conversation with him because it wouldn't be a good one. So now I'm down at the bar at the hostel hoping he will be asleep when I go back up :)
Other than that though! Tomorrow I'm on my way back to Germany (and the Euro!), to a city called Bamberg, near Nürnberg. This is one town in Germany that was never bombed, and is known for their rauschbier.. or smoked beer. Something like 20+ breweries in this one small town!! I can't wait! Wish me luck in my room tonight!!!

Aunt Sandra Hi Ben, Sounds like you are getting enough info about beer that you can come home and open your own brewery. I've been enjoying reading your blog and following vicariouslly on your trip. Sounds like you are getting quite an education and seeing many beautiful things. Enjoy!!
