Thought that I should broadcast from a truly Belgian place today, a small bar called Paters Vaatje.. right next to the old cathedral. This tiny place has around 150 choices for beer, respectable, but modest by Belgian standards. The beer in this country is unlike anything I've ever had.. it borders on perfection. What's more, the pride in their beer is incredible. The beers of the famous Trappist breweries are given the utmost respect. Every beer you order has it...

Pretty sure I may be in Heaven! Brugge is one of the most beautiful cities I've been to. Small, pretty quiet, and built on a beautiful system of canals, Brugge is simply the perfect European city. Enjoyed my first day and a half mostly with a really nice couple from North Carolina. Found some amazing chocolate and absolutely incredible beer.
