Colourwar Update One!
Ok first day of Colourwar is over! And boy am I Knackered!
Basically the day was Jam packed! After the excitement of the morning "Break" the kids made it very clear they were loyal to their colours. There was no more sitting with friends at meal times, always wearing the colour they were assigined and basically everyone was chanting and calling for the whole day.
personally I was put in the Purple team, the best team ever, which was made up of staff, lifeguards, refs and most importantly media crew!
The day started with a huge colour line up outside where we were told about the days activites, then after breakfast and Clean up, off the kids went to their first actities. There were many sporting games, swim meets and races which made up most of the days competition. I was running around like a headless chook for most of it trying to get 17 different activites EVERY SINGLE HOUR - Lets just say, most of the footage has me puffing or complaining in it!
after a VERY long morning I retreated to my Cave ( AKA the beautiful new mac) and started the editing process while the kids had thier team meetings and swim. Every day of colour war I have to film all of the events and then put them into a 4 -5 minute clip for that days footage, then, at the end of colourwar they show the video to the kids.
So it is real pressure on this week to edit in a short time frame, I may end up crazy by the end of it!
But somehow, day on of Colourwar passed, and I managed to edit the whole day before 930 so I got the night off! Thank goodness!
Time to start it all over again tomorrow~!
PS - I got stung by a wasp today! It was very exciting and I felt very proud, but it really hurt. Also I forgot about it and I supposed to ice it but I didn't. So now the poision has spread through most of my leg and I can really move it!
That is all
