Goodafternoon all!
I hope your all well in the chilly side of the world!!
Camp is travelling well and we have started to get into a great routine!
Sports three times a day and other activies keep the campers happy while I head around campturing all of the "magic"
One activiey I highly enjoyed over the last few days was the cooking as we made the COOLEST " muffin icecreams" that is, a muffin INSIDE AN ICECREAM CONE. Inventive or what? ( thanks to the fantastic Rosie!!!)
Swimming has of course been a huge hit too, with the weather being so hot!
The senior girls also had the chance to hold a Car wash for charitiy and me made 50 bucks for the Simon's charitiy ( sorry not sure exactly what this is!) Shame that half way through the car wash it started pouring with rain! We ended up watching TV while the cars washed themselves!
On friday night the camp all piled into school buses and headed to " Zurgs" which is a dainsh farmers market - weird but wonderful. It was basically a mix between the Queen Victoria Markets and a whole lot of garage sales and times it by 20.
There where candy stalls, pet shops, takeaway stores and resturants, emo stores, high end jewelry stores and super tacky soft toy stores almost everything you can imagine! and the characters you find in those stores? even better!
So many different sorts of American locals! It was great to see!
After buying way to much stuff that I will never use again we headed home and it was OUR DAY OFF!!!
12 of the international girls headed in the minivan to the King or Prussia Mall, which is the Second Biggest Mall in the WHOLE of USA and it was huge!
We stayed in Motel 6 which was kind of like Formula One but it worked out well because it only cost us 20 bucks each! After a quick stop off at my new fave store Wawa ( basically a mix between a subway, petrol station and grocery store) we started the night like any other group of young girls in the middle of USA would, you can guess what we drank, it wasn't water thats for sure!
After a nice sleep in, and a peaceful shower, not filled with the sound of screaming kids we headed to this huge mall for a spot of shopping.
The mall was basically like anyother mall we have in australia but with everything was half the price it would be in Aussie. NIKE, Body Shop, Target, basically every store was like the ones we get so it was quite exciting to see the price tags!
Lucky for me ( in the long run) ANZ had cancelled my card because they thought it had been stolen so I only had he cash in my pocket to spend. This wasn't the case for everyone though!
Micalea and Katie said they both spent about 300 bucks! WOW, money worth spent though, they even got the chance to " build a Bear" where they got the bear from scratch and stuffed it, put a heart in it and dressed it! We made great friends with the staff in that store and they acually called the camp the next day to say hello to us all! We might go and see them on our next day off!!
After A LOT of shopping, 25 bags, One newly coloured hair and 5 new pairs of Vans, we headed out to a diner for dinner before being picked up by the camp bus to head back to Camp. But just after we finished our meals ( which were great Btw) Kerrie, stood up in a hurry and screamed, I left my bags at the mall! Which I might add was about two kms away. So her and Elle sprinted from the table all the way to the mall while we mingled around showing each other our new goodies.
We had only been waiting in the bus for about 5 mins when we saw the two girls on the horizon and as we got closer we saw they had both been puking in the bushes! Only because they ran so fast! What a waste of food!
After our eventful day off camp seemed a nice place to go and relax and since then i has been pretty solid and routine like. I get up and film all day as well as doing all the activites, I have painted a picure and wrote lots of letters. Last night Kate, from aussie showed us how to fire twirl which was so cool!
I have been told by the campers that the next week or so is quite routine like but after visiting day things get pretty wild so expect lots of blogs then!
As for photos I am sorry I haven't been putting any up - I am no longer allowed to take photos with my phone so they have all been on my big camera and when I have some time all put them all up!
Thats all for now!
