Here we are again !!!
Well here is a bit of a bigger update, its 2.30pm and we are in seminjak and it is raining cats and dogs. So we have run into an internet cafe for a bit of shelter. The main thing really to report is that, in the last 6 days of being here we have approx clocked up around 200 miles on our motor bike!! both of us feel about as saddle sore as john wayne after doing an epic western.
The need for all this racing around has been to look for a house or Villa to rent long term. There is just so many to chose from, we have had lots of assistance from our bali friends, Made' (thats a name) Dita and her friend charles bronson (thats a look alike) between them all and the odd real estate agent it feels like we have seen 100s. Ranging from luxury 400 pound a night to nice and modest traditional bali homes at 1200 per Year. The middle options are still just amazing pool, staff etc would cost an arm and a leg back home. Still the search continues. The most appealing Villa at the moment is one in a little place called Canggu, out in the paddy fields, Well keep you updated. We visted the beach at Canggu today, the Waves are very big Hawia 5 o stlye, it was a very "you been framed moment" with Caroline getting tossed, battered, and finally spat out of the sea with her Bikini bottoms round her ankles.
We have lots of various pics to add soon, we went to jimbaran fish market which was a real eye opener. and tomorrow we are off to Ubud central Bali and the rice fields, mountians, Temples etc really looking forward to it. There really is so many different places to go and see, the one thing that is always the same is, the people. We have been lucky enough to have been to a fare few places in the world now, but never have we met people that are more geniune, honest, and kind. So many people here have so little in the way of material things that we just take for granted, but they are happy with what they have and would help you in anyway they could, for no expected personal gain at all.
next report after the Ubud trip. bye for now.
