Woke up at 9 and went down for breakfast.
Set off 9.45 walking to the Chinese embassy as the receptionist said it would only take half an hour! An hour and a half later we were still walking there! We think he meant getting a tuktuk would take half an hour! Great.
Michael thought he was Marco Polo but got us lost! He was looking for a river which turned out to be a puddle!
We had walked past the mud track that the embassy was down! After asking for directions from people who don't speak a word of English 5 times we got there! We were tired though, it was boiling hot sun!
So we got there and it was closed. Somebody pass me a loaded gun. It's annual closing day is the one day we just spent walking from 2738 miles away! Laos is a joke!
Got a tuktuk which did take half an hour to get back to the guest house! It cost 30000 kip (£2.40) so quite expensive but we were literally in the middle of nowhere, we didn't have a choice!
Have my second poorly tummy since being in Asia! Just thought you would like to know that ;)
Ate at the cute lady stall! She loves us! I don't think anyone has eaten at her stall as much as we do! She knows what we want before we order! Love her! Might bring her home! Mother you have been replaced!
Did absolutely nothing again! We have done everything there is to do in Vientiane and are only here to get a Chinese visa so it's a bit of a waste of our time!
Ate at a place called sticky fingers down the road from us, it's recommended in my lonely planet book! It was pretty lush to be fair! I had the fish and Michael had chicken!
Went home and Michael knows I hate scary films so put on a film called Devil about people getting killed in a lift! Never getting in a lift again.
This is the forth day I have forgotten to take my malaria tablet. Everyone knows I hate them but I really do want to take them we just forget! Or we will remember but we will have gone for a walk and not have them with us! I will have to try harder!
