So we arrived at the airport at 9.30pm for our flight at midnight on the 19th November. We were already stressed as we had a big argument with our taxi driver (even though he didnt speak a word of english..) Once at the airport we realised that there was no flight at midnight, it was actually going to leave at 2.30am! That meant we would miss our connecting flight at Aukland!! So, we sat at Buenos Aires airport for 5 hours playing cards. The flight was 15 hours long, most of which we slept, and once at Aukland, after a two hour wait, we thankfully managed to book ourselves on a different flight to Christchurch. We arrived in Christchurch on the 21st November and after collecting our hired car, drove to our hostel. We were desperate to shower and lie down but we couldn't check into our room till 2.00pm! Not a good start to our New Zealand trip at all!
