On the 30th we drove from Queenstown back up to Christchurch. It was a long journey- around 9 hours. We stopped off at fairley for lunch, and arrived at Christchurch at 5.30ish. We relaxed after our long journey and watched The Incredibles and then headed out for dinner. Guess what.... we had another burger! But in our defence, it was a different one this time. It was KFC! We flew out of New Zealand on the 2nd Dec. Next destination, Sydney!

Today we went on yet another excursion. This time it was a horseriding tour around some of the sites of the lord of the rings film set. It was really fun! Anika had a famous horse, Oscar who had starred in a number of films. He had clearly let the fame go to his head and he was really mean. We woke up real early at 5.45 as we had a 7.30 pick up for our milford sounds trip. The journey took around 4 hours by coach, after which we took a boat through milford sounds. It was really beautiful and we were again, really lucky as the weather was really good. Apparently it rains at Milford 200 days a year. We think our curse has lifted now. We saw cute penguins and seals which again was very lucky. It was quite a long day , but well worth doing. We arrive...
