After sleeping through the alarm, we had twenty minutes to stuff everything in our backpacks! We then had to face a the 10 hour bus journey from Bangkok to Siem Reap with a really bad hangover! As soon as we crossed the border from Thailand into Cambodia, the difference between the two countries was apparent . The border crossing into Cambodia was a horrible mix of poverty and brash casinos, it wasn't a place that we wanted to stay for long. However, the bus ride to Siem Reap made up for it, the scenery was amazing! It wasn't like anything we had ever seen before.

Arriving in Siem Reap we headed out for a meal with our group and to taste the local beer Angkor!
