Well we made it! We are in Vancouver, Canada!! It all feels very surreal at the moment like we're not really here or like we're on a 2 week holiday.
Our flight was an hour late taking off; we arrived at 3pm (here), 11pm our time back home. 9 hours is the longest I have been on a plane although it went fairly quickly considering the in-flight entertainment wasn't much cop!
We took the skytrain to Waterfront and then a 2nd train to where we met our hosts who had come to pick us up.
It was suprisingly warm when we got off the plane- I was almost expecting to get frost bite within 10 minutes! It did however start to rain and we soon found out that the locals call here 'Raincouver' The weather at the moment is pretty much identical to that of back home.
We arrived at our hostel which is nice; we have nothing to compare it with yet but the hosts are lovely, very friendly and helpful.
We took a walk to a shop just so we could get something in for dinner/breakfast, and the dinner for the first night was noodles! :)
Haven't really seen much yet so no snappy snaps as yet but we'll look into things to do and see tomorrow.
We are both absolutely shattered, it is 9.55pm here but 5.53am back home so it's off to bed as I have now been up 24 hours!
