Today we've just been getting everything sorted and ready for tomorrow as we head to Whistler tomorrow afternoon. Well it was a lovely sunny day but it didn't quite work out to be the day we had planned. Before getting to Vancouver I knew I wanted to head over to Vancouver Island and when we first got here to the airport there were tv screens showing areas of Victoria (which is on Vancouver Island) and it looked absolutely stunning- full of amazing scenery, wildlife, outdoor activities etc. So we decided we would get up really early this morning (we left the hostel at 7am) ...

Well not a great deal to write home about today. It's been raining all day!! We only ventured out today to get some bits in for dinner. We've trying to plan where we're heading to next and for how long so we can get hostels booked and transport sorted. Our next stop is going to be Whistler which is only 2hr 30mins from Vancouver. What I'm not looking forward to is the coach from Whistler to Banff which is 19hrs 30mins!!!!!!!! It's 630 miles away and yet the dist...

It was another lovely sunny day today. We headed out early afternoon and took the train and the bus over to Granville Island. There is a lovely harbour there and lots of lovely little shops; it's very arts and crafts based with shops selling leather goods, sculptures, knitted and woven goods, beads :) and stationary :) Also a really nice market which had such a huge array of fruit, vegetables, cheese, sausage, pasta, olive oils, cakes, flowers, arts and cratfs, c...
