As it was now Monday I had to go to the Mongolian Embassy to get my visa. Knowing where it was I got into a cab and directed the driver where to go. I lined up, handed over my form and told them that it was urgent. She told me I could pick it up in a couple of days, but first I'd have to go over to the Bank of China to pay the fee. She showed me on a map where it was so off I went to go find it.
After looking around for a bit I eventually found the back and went in. Not knowing where to go next there was a nice security guard to help me out. He gave me a ticket from the machine and I went and sat down to wait for my number to be called. After paying the fee, which was surprisingly not as painstaking as I thought it might be. The bank teller spoke English which made the transaction easier than getting a cab.
I walked back towards the hotel to get some lunch, when I ran into JP, Kerry and Brad who were in my group. Chatting to them for a bit I then got some lunch and went back to the hotel to get together all the stuff I wanted to post onto the UK. Hours later Lois came back whilst I was there and asked if I wanted to go for dinner. We went to one of the places next to the hotel where they served all different types of dumplings really cheap. After dinner I went over to the post office, which is open until late and sent my parcel. They were really helpful at the post office and I had no problems in communicating with them. Once that was done my backpack was now at least 5 kilos lighter.
