We arrived into Shenzhen around 11.30am, grabbed our bags and left the train. We basically had to walk from Shenzhen into Hong Kong. It took us about 1 hour to walk, then we had to go through immigration which had really long lines, that also took about an hour and with heavy bags on our backs we weren't exactly jovial.
Once clearing immigration our trip leader stopped to get maps and in true whingy English form the group whinged about her stopping to get the maps whilst we had these bags on our backs. Finally arriving into the waiting lounge we sat and waited for about an hour, but thankfully we could take the bags off our backs and get something to eat.
We eventually boarded the train to Mongkoh station, which took about 1 hour to get to. Thankfully we caught cabs to the Bridal Tea House. I was sharing with Ruth again which I was not too happy about, plus the room was the size of a cardboard box which meant there was no room to put our bags so we had to move a few things around and eventually got them into the wardrobe.
We then met the group and went on a orientation walk around the area. We then went and had dinner at one of the local restaurants, which was also our final dinner. We did the whip around for Lillian's tip and I also had to do the speech. After dinner we caught the train into Kowloon to watch to light show on the harbour. After the light show a few of us went into Soho and had a few drinks. Lindsay and I got stuck into the raspberry Mojitos. Eventually it was just me and Lindsay as the others went back to the hotel. We left the bar that we were at and went to another bar, where we met some dodgy Swedish teachers, who took us to a few other bars and clubs.
We eventually snuck away from them as they kept trying it on. So we jumped into a cab and went home.
